I ran across a website called The Awesome Highlighter, which allows you to highlight important text on a webpage in a variety of colors and email it to friends or to yourself. Awesome Highlighter site will also allow you to place notes on the webpage and it will generate a small URL that you can follow to see the additions you made to your webpage. It saves you and your friends time finding the important parts of the website when you want them to view a link. This site can be used in the classroom to teach children to find the main idea/details of a paragraph so that they can take notes easier. Below is a snippet of a webpage where I tried out the highligher. This is what it looks like:
